THE EIGHT TOWERS

Starport Serpentime, being the multicultural hub that it is, was designed to accommodate the tastes and requirements of all the major types of galactic culture, whether carbon based or silicon, breathing oxygen or hydrogen or what-have-you.  Yet like all Starports, it shares certain overall features -- the ubiquitous towers and pits and tunnels, fountains and pools, et cetera -- which inevitably seem more than a little Freudian and snicker-worthy to the vulgar and ignorant yokels of certain deservedly isolated planets.  Yet the refined mind, well-educated in the eternal verities and cosmic patterns, finds far more profound meaning in the forms and functions of the Starport machineries.
Here we introduce, for your inspection, the eight housing facilities of the Serpentime Simplex, each sporting its own unique style of multi-channel signal-flasher (that's very popular this millennium).
